Data Model

  • Artists, Releases, Recordings, Labels, Areas, Events, Instruments, Places, Release Groups, Series, Works, Genres — core entities; search returns IDs for detail fetches.
  • Browse — releases by label, recordings/releases by artist (relationship queries).
  • Lookup — by disc ID, ISRC, ISWC, or URL (identifier-based resolution).

Gotchas

  • Rate limit: 50 requests/minute; add delay between bulk fetches.
